There is now scrim in the extended interactive queue of The Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom, as work gears up on the park’s Cars expansion.

The extended queue was not open on Friday morning, but we could still see the beige scrim along the outer edge. It runs the length of the outer walls and railings, covering openings that face the trees.
The Haunted Mansion queue scrim joins construction walls at the front of The Haunted Mansion’s queue, where it overlooks Rivers of America. The river and Tom Sawyer Island are permanently closed to be replaced by a Cars expansion. The walls and scrim will block views of construction work.

This scrim may specifically have to do with a new path Imagineers teased that will lead directly from The Haunted Mansion to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad for the first time. In July, construction markers were installed and later covered in The Haunted Mansion’s graveyard.
